nPower Championship Saturday: Derby v Birmingham

Derby hosted Birmingham in this highly anticipated match with Birmingham coming in with their new manager Chris Hughtons. Match started on a highly entertaining note with Derby winning the corner within 40 seconds after kick off. Birmingham soon took control and recently relegated side started to show why they need to go back to premier league. 18 minutes on the clock and

Derby responded pretty fast and with 25 minutes on the clock

Derby 1 - 1 Birmingham

Mark O'Brien  of Derby didn't get much time on the bench as he replaced Russell Anderson with 35 minutes on clock. Derby lad Ward was the first on to go in the ref's books. with 41 minutes on clock Derby  left Birmingham fans fuming as they scored

Derby 2 - 1 Birmingham

Half time whistle from ref and Derby players went in their dressing room leading by one goal to Birmingham.

Second Half began with Derby lad Steve Davies going into ref's books. followed by a booking for Derby lad Ben Davies. Birmingham came in with a substitution near 60th minute and replaced Fahey with Wood. Robinson replaced Ward on 78th minute for Derby and Hendric came in Derby coulours to replace Bailey.
not much action near the goal by both Derby and Birmingham in the second half and Derby took home 3 points.
