Finally the most awaited moment is back. Its two recently relegated side fighting their way back into the top flight. On the opening night of the new edition of Football Championship Hull hosted Blackpool.
The much anticipated match started with ref Mathieson getting the game underway. And within one minute he was using his whistle again to indicate the foul on Blackpool player Ian Evatt by Hull Player Adebola. Then followed a series of corners both Hull and Blackpool were working hard but in terms of goal line there was not much action. Refree came in action again as Blackpool player Kevin Phillips went down after a challenge by Tom Cairney. Ref awarded a freekick to blackpool and a yellow card to Joe Dudgeon, for completely diferrent challange though. Blackpool lad Evatt also went into the books in the 45th minute. Nothing much happened in the first half and both Hull and Blackpool went in their respective dressing room with score lone 0-0.
